The alumni community of East–West Dialogue is a living and meaningful part of the ongoing story of the initiative. Over the years, hundreds of young people from Israel and Europe have taken part in delegations, seminars, and intercultural encounters, sharing experiences of learning, connection, and personal growth. For many participants, the experience did not end when the program ended — it became a lasting part of who they are.
Voices from Participants
“This was one of the best experiences of my life. I met friends from different countries and realized how similar we all are. I learned to listen, respect, and not judge people by where they come from.”
“I discovered new cultures, new stories, and new ways to see the world. The most important thing I got is understanding that friendship is stronger than differences.”
“I was shy at the beginning, but by the end I felt confident speaking, sharing, and connecting. I learned that I can talk to anyone and make real friendships.”
“I learned so much about history by actually being in the places where things happened. It made everything feel real and meaningful.”
“The project showed me that peace starts with small connections. When you eat, talk, laugh, and learn together — everything feels possible.”
“What I take with me is new friends, new knowledge, and a big open heart. I feel like I grew as a person this week.”
“I learned that even if we have different religions, languages, and backgrounds, we can still understand each other and have fun together.”
“The workshops helped me think about who I am and how I see others. I learned to express myself and listen to different opinions.”
“Before this project, other cultures felt far away. Now I feel connected. I learned that people everywhere want the same things — friendship, respect, and peace.”
“The best thing I got from this experience is confidence. I spoke with new people, learned new things, and felt part of something special.”
“I will never forget the moments we shared — singing, talking, laughing, learning. I feel lucky to have been part of this.”
“This project taught me that real change happens when young people meet, talk, and build friendships together.”
